Paul Merryman

Paul Merryman is a born and raised Austinite who fell in love with the movie business after working on Robert Rodriguez's SPY KIDS. He holds a BS from the University of Texas at Austin and an MFA from the American Film Institute.

Formerly a development executive for legendary director Sam Raimi, Paul co-produced MURDER OF A CAT and worked on iconic projects like EVIL DEAD, POLTERGEIST, ASH VS. THE EVIL DEAD, and OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL.

As an independent producer, Paul developed and produced THE OUTPOST, based on the best selling book by CNN’s Jake Tapper, heralded by veterans as one of the most authentic war films ever made. Today, he continues to produce high-impact cinema from Austin, Texas.
